LIVING ROOMS
Living rooms, also known as “great rooms”, are the focal point of every Edenlane home and often create the defining essence of the dwelling. Our living rooms are welcoming and spacious - a place of gathering and entertainment for family and guests. Often at the heart of the room is the fireplace, offset by ample windows to let in the light.
FIREPLACES
Fireplaces are desirable features, both practically for added heating and aesthetically for that comfortable feeling of tranquility. Wood burning, gas, and electric fireplaces provide an opportunity to incorporate different materials into a home such as stone, granite, and wood.
DINING ROOMS
The dining room is often the most formal part of a home, used for entertaining and special dinners. They should be easily accessible from the kitchen and incorporate windows to avoid feeling closed in. Using fireplaces and doorways to deck areas can enhance the dining room ambience.
KITCHENS
The kitchen is the social and familial heart the home. A well designed kitchen and its placement within a home can dramatically impact resale value. It is essential that a kitchen be designed to be user friendly but also to be aesthetically appealing. An open concept kitchen facilitates entertaining, with views into the living and dining areas.
STAIRS
Well constructed stairs or staircases can either be a focal point of a home or simply a beautiful and functional design detail. Stairs can be made from many different types of wood and can incorporate coloured accents such as stains, wrought iron, and carpeted treads.
WINDOWS
Windows are one of the most important design elements of a home. They provide both a view of the outdoors from the inside and aesthetic appeal from the outside. Window choice can also impact the operating cost and energy use of a home. There are many grade and style types of windows - from vinyl to wood with aluminium cladding.
