Habitat For Humanity Muskoka - Construction Project
Project Overview
Habitat for Humanity Muskoka is gearing up to build two semi-detached homes in Bracebridge, the organization's sixth construction project since its inception in 1999. Habitat for Humanity strives to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action through providing reasonable homes to families that live in substandard or inadequate conditions within our community.
Edenlane Homes is proud to be part of this effort as the chosen designer for the Wellington Street project in Bracebridge. As a family company, it was a natural fit for us to get involved in helping other families in need in our community. Like our clients, the families that purchase these homes will be purchasing a new lifestyle and we are pleased to be able to give them a helping hand.

Habitat for Humanity homes are purchased by the new owners in a partnership that is truly a hand-up rather than a hand-out. The homes will give families who may not otherwise be able to experience the joys and responsibilities of home ownership an opportunity to do so coupled with the satisfaction that they had a direct hand in the construction of their own home.
In addition to the design, Edenlane Homes staff are planning an "Edenlane Day" at the project were our employees will use hammers and nails to contribute to the actual construction of the project. We will be using this webpage to provide you with photos and updates of the project as it progresses. Should you have any questions about this project, please email us or visit the Habitat for Humanity Muskoka website to find out how you can volunteer or donate.

Last night at the Rotary Centre in Bracebridge, potential volunteers met to find out more about the next Habitat For Humanity construction project slated to begin in early August. The group was walked through all the tasks required for a successful build project including administation, food services, fundraising, volunteer coordination, materials acquisition, and of course actual construction. About 50 people were in attendance along with many members of the Habitat For Humanity Muskoka board. Volunteer forms were collected and many raffle tickets sold.
